An act requiring BASIC EDUCATION STUDENTS to undergo Age Appropriate Basic Life Support Training
TRAINING GOALS
- To provide participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to respond effectively in emergency situations and administer basic first aid care within the span of a one-day Emergency First Aid training.
- To provide participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to respond effectively in emergency situations and administer basic first aid care within the span of a two-day Occupational First Aid training.
- To provide participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to respond effectively in emergency situations and administer basic first aid care within the span of a four-day Standard First Aid training.

The Department of labor and Employment (“DOLE”) issued Department Order No. 235 (“DO 235”) which provides rules on the Certification of First Aiders and the Accreditation of First Aid Training Providers (“FATPro”). This was made pursuant to Section 25 of Republic Act No. RA 11058 entitled “An Act Strengthening Compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Standards and Providing Penalties for Violation Thereof” and Department Order No. 198-18.
